New Pregnancies

Should book to see a doctor for a routine appointment during normal surgery hours. You should be seen before you are 11 weeks pregnant. Please ask for a double appointment. You will be provided with a maternity pack holding relevant information. You can also self refer to any hospital of your choice by going to the maternity or ante natal section on their website and completing the online form.

Family Planning

Our Practice Nurse will be happy to discuss family planning issues. Free condoms are not distributed by our surgery.

Sexual Health Clinics

Our Practice Nurse will be able to discuss sexual health related issues, and can carry out chlamydia testing and smear tests.

Chronic Diseases (Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, Heart Disease)

We would like to see you for regular checks if you have any of these conditions. You will be invited for an appointment and while you are a registered with us your health will be monitored throughout.


If you wish to see a Counsellor, please see a Doctor who will discuss your case and refer if appropriate.

New Patients Health Checks

If you have just registered with us you will be asked to make an appointment with our Healthcare Assistant for a New Patient Check only if you have never had a GP in this country before and have come from abroad. As part of this check the Healthcare Assistant will want to test a urine sample. Please ask at Reception for a specimen bottle. By registering for a New Patient Check and attending you will successfully complete the registration process.

Please note: during a new patient check we will discuss your medical family history and will check your ethnicity, cigarette and alcohol consumption and perform various other health checks. We require such information in order to provide the best possible care for you.

For patients who already have been registered in the NHS, you will not need a new patient check as we will obtain all your history via the electonic links system.
